LIFE SKILLS / VALUE EDUCATION STUDIOS
At Drona Techno Concept School, Value education and Life Skills development is coordinated with character education in order to sculpt a child into a complete student. A complete student is one who succeeds not only academically but also portrays a 'strong moral character ', with a clear sense of right and wrong. Each month a specific value is emphasized beginning from respect, followed with responsibility leading to compassion and commitment. Each value leads to the next yet remains connected to all the previous values taught.
Our Life Skills program focuses on developing practical attributes that will guide our students through various aspects of life and reflect in the ease of their outward demeanor. Appealing confidence, a streak of independence in day to day activities, very positive approach towards life along with impeccable etiquette are some of the many skills we empower our students with.
We aim to instill a genuine concern for fellow human beings and a strong desire as well as the ability to make a positive impact on our society, in our students, through carefully designed age appropriate lessons and practical activities.

A language-rich environment at Drona Techno Concept School forms a solid foundation for children. They are addressed with a rich vocabulary and are encouraged to express themselves through the medium of language. Drona Techno Concept School is one of the first schools in Kerala to tread a path rarely taken by setting up a department dedicated to the creative use of language thus making a deliberate effort to make each English Language Arts class cherished by every child.
The endeavor of Language Arts is not only to stimulate the interest of the learner but also to sustain it, ensuring that the language is effectively used. The four components of Language Arts are Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking.
Reading
Reading is a skill that forms the most important facet of learning: phonetics, sight reading and Comprehension enhance the confidence of students. They consciously become competent readers which automatically helps them in academic progress. By following a structured reading program, students are encouraged to become fluent readers and thus foster the love for reading.
Writing
Students in our classes explore the different types of writing- ranging from narrative, descriptive, expository essays to letters and poetry. Students learn to organize their thoughts and to match their personal style using the tools of creative writing to learn the art of expression through words. In this way children are groomed to become proficient writers.
Listening and Speaking
When children hear the spoken language in the form of stories, dialogues, speeches and role plays they not only learn new words but also proper diction, intonation and pronunciation. Opportunities are provided for children to speak and practice articulation and imbibe communication confidence. All of these activities help students to master the art of communication.
